Founded in 2020, Itqan Institute is among the first institutes in Yorkshire to offer Ijazah degrees, the highest certification in Quran memorisation and Tajweed, with authentic chains connected to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Our Teachers
We specialise in teaching authentic Quranic recitation (Tajweed), and the majority of our instructors hold Ijazah degrees themselves. Our courses are available for both male and female students.
What We Offer
Enrolling in our Advanced level enables students to obtain either an Ijazah or Khatm certification. The Ijazah certifies the full recitation of the Quran by heart with perfect Tajweed, maintaining a direct chain of transmission to the Prophet (pbuh). Khatm certifies the full recitation of the Quran by looking with perfect Tajweed.

Our mission is to provide exceptional Tajweed education through the expertise of native Arabic teachers. We are dedicated to helping our students master the proper articulation (makharij) and characteristics (sifaat) essential for accurate Quranic recitation.
What Makes Us Unique?
The Itqan Institute is proud to be the first centre in West Yorkshire to offer the prestigious Ijāzah degree, connecting students directly to the sanad (chain of transmission) through the esteemed Shaami school. With a team of highly qualified teachers, we provide both local in-person learning at our Bradford venue and flexible online services. The program culminates in a final exam assessed by senior Qur'an scholars in Damascus, with the unique option for students to undertake this examination onsite.
